Production of runewares (hard products) now permanently discontinued
When you visit the products pages you will find retrospective articles about amulets of different types, rune sets, gandrs, pendulums and all the other tangible products that I used to make. I had to give up making things when failing eyesight and arthritis in my fingers became too severe to safely continue operating workshop machinery, or to produce fine detail artwork.

The rune sets always attracted a lot of interest and were in great demand. The range of amulets was always popular, too. They featured single runes, personal monogram bindrunes, bindrunes for dozens of practical purposes, and even some for pet protection.

I was still getting a lot of enquiries from visitors who wanted something made, so I tried over a period of 2 or 3 years to recruit skilled artisans to supply many of these discontinued products under a co-operative system. I did find a handful of enthusiastic crafters who were willing to join in with the co-operative venture, but sadly nothing ever came of this initiative.

The difficulty of organizing the financial and logistic arrangements became too complex and had to be abandoned. The main sticking point was the legality of reselling products made by a crafter through the Runemaker website using PayPal. I simply couldn't find a formula that satisfied the PayPal terms and conditions about subcontractors which would allow me to pass payment for the products on to the individual crafters.

I have now lifted all restrictions from copying the product types and designs from the retrospective pages on the website. Anyone may now freely use the data and images featured here to produce the same or similar products and sell them using their own resources such as shops or websites.

If you search for phrases such as "Runemaker type" or "Oswald style" you are likely to find similar products to those featured on my retrospective pages. But that would not mean I have personally endorsed the products or authorized them in any way, I may know nothing at all about the products or the makers. It is simply an indication from a maker that he/she wishes to acknowledge some influence by my products of the past.

A Runic Empowerment Ritual
This e-book from April 2011 at last reveals the full empowerment ritual I have used for the activation of divining runes, amulets, and tattoo designs for many years. The 19-page ebook in full color is priced at US$2.95 and includes:
     ●
An illustrated article on the creation of a Vé (a sacred space) for rune work with detailed instructions.
     ● The full ritual with illustrations.
     ● Suggested incantations for empowering a runic design on a solid surface or on skin for a tattoo.
     ● Some useful pointers on devising your own personal ritual elements and incantations.
     ● Plus a free bonus of 11 decorative Nordic and Pictish border designs.
For more information or to order please visit the ebooks page on my author website.

The Runes Forum is now 'Read Only'
The Runes Forum has now run its course and the pro version advertisement-free service was discontinued on March 17th 2010.

My thanks to all contributors in the past for making the early years full of lively discussion. However, over the last 2 years of the Forum's existence the volume of postings had dried to a trickle and it was no longer cost effective to keep on paying the hosting fees, nor sensible to keep the volunteer moderators looking out for new messages that happened so infrequently.

There are still over 300 threads and a total of more than 1700 posts available to view for the meantime, but the pages are now hosted by the Bravenet free service which inevitably carries a lot of advertising in banners and popups etc. No new posts are being accepted and the forum will I suppose eventually get deleted.

If there is anyone out there who would like to take over the name "The Runes Forum" it is for sale. Or indeed, if anyone would like to take over the forum as it stands and re-open it a transfer of ownership can be arranged. The hosting fee was something like 50 bucks a year the last time I checked. Contact me for more information.

"Rune Reminder" eBook revised and updated
In response to popular demand, the Rune Meanings pages of this website are available for download as an eBook. The publication has now been revised and expanded with new pictures and improved PDF resolution for cleaner text and sharper images. Previous buyers have automatically received this updated version. If you missed out on the revision for some reason please contact me to claim your free update, all I need is your name and e-mail address.

The eBook provides diviners of all abilities with a handy reminder or "crib sheet" of the meanings and interpretations of all the runes (and the notorious blank, for those who still use it) together with associations with plants, trees, gemstones, deities, the elements and colors. There is a listing on each page for the runic number and astrological correspondence of each rune together with images of both the Elder Futhark and Anglo-Saxon rune glyphs. The book includes all the information that appears on the Rune Meaning pages with new illustrations of trees, plants and gemstones. This latest edition also includes a contents list and 11 original single-page illustrated articles on various subjects of interest related to the runes, the associated myths and legends.
