The Runes Forum has closed down
The Runes Forum provided by Bravenet has now run its course and was closed down on March 17th.

Our thanks to all contributors in the past for making the early years full of lively discussion. However, over the last 18 months or so the volume of postings has dried to a trickle and it was no longer cost effective to keep on paying the hosting fees, nor sensible to keep the volunteer moderators looking out for new messages that happened so infrequently.

There are still over 300 threads and a total of more than 1700 posts available to view for the meantime, but no new posts are being accepted and the forum will eventually get deleted.

If there is anyone out there who would like to take over the name "The Runes Forum" it is for sale to the highest bidder. Or indeed, if anyone would like to take over the forum and re-open it a transfer of ownership can be arranged. The hosting fee is something like 40 bucks a year. Contact us for more information.

Production of physical products discontinued
I am sorry to advise that from March 2010 I will no longer be making  any physical products. Rune sets, runic pendulums, and rune staffs have been discontinued since 2007, and now the amulets of all types will also be discontinued. Only e-products such as e-Books, fonts, transcription and artwork services will be available in future.

This has been a very difficult decision for me, but one that I should have made years ago,  I have simply been putting it off for too long. The fact is I have been in poor health for some time and I find it takes me a lot longer and I find it much more difficult now to make these products than it did in the past.

This move is a result of some long absences from the workshop and interruptions to my work that have soaked up too much of my available time. I have therefore decided not to take on any new orders for hard products. People have been telling me for years I was killing myself with work and I laughed. But maybe now I am starting to believe them.

When you visit the Rune wares pages where all the products were featured you will now see a series of "retrospectives" for those who are interested in the range of products that were available in the past. This might help viewers when some of my products show up for resale on eBay and other similar auction  websites.

"Rune Reminder" eBook revised and updated
In response to popular demand, the Rune Meanings pages of this website are available for download as an eBook. The publication has now been revised and expanded with new pictures and improved PDF resolution for cleaner text and sharper images. Previous buyers will automatically receive this and any future revisions free of charge.

The eBook provides diviners of all abilities with a handy reminder or "crib sheet" of the meanings and interpretations of all the runes (and the notorious blank, for those who use it) together with associations with plants, tress, gemstones, deities and colors. There is a listing on each page for the runic number and astrological correspondence of each rune together with images of both the Elder Futhark and Anglo-Saxon rune glyphs. The book includes all the information that appears on the Rune Meaning pages with many new illustrations of trees plants and gemstones. The eBook costs US$4.95 - to buy it now.

"Discovering Runes" by Bob Oswald

I wanted to publish something that would be useful to both experienced runesters and to novices in a down to earth and friendly style and without getting too technical. So now I have written Discovering Runes which I hope will be an entertaining read as well as being a vital reference book for rune users of all abilities.

It is published by the highly respected illustrated book publisher Regency House Publications and distributed by Book Mart in UK and Chartwell Books in the USA. It is 256 glossy pages of 8x8 inches (200x200mm) with 260 full colour illustrations.

If you would like to order a personally signed and dedicated first edition now please click here  to load the order form. Order now, but don't delay, there are only 15 copies left and they do sell quite quickly.
The prices including packaging, shipping and tax are:

United Kingdom: GB£ 8.95
Europe: EC€ 16.00
USA, Canada US$29.95
Rest of the world: US$ 32.95

All copies of Discovering Runes supplied from this website will be first editions personally signed and dedicated by me. If you would like a special message above my signature, just write it in the "Other Information" box on the shopping cart and I will confirm your request before shipping the book.

Runezine Discontinued
If you have read the above posting about production cut-backs you will know that my ageing body has been letting me down somewhat of late. Sadly, the Runezine ezine is another thing I have decided to give up.

I have been running the Runezine project since 2001 but it was finally closed down at the end of August 2007.  Runezine subscribers were contacted and asked if they wanted to subscribe to a new list. If you missed out on that but would like to receive occasional email news messages from Runemaker Group, please click this link to subscribe. My sincere thanks to all Runezine readers for their support in the past, I hope everyone found it interesting and occasionally useful.

Enjoy your site visit, and use the Contact page if you want to get in touch.
May the best of good fortune follow you always,
